Takeda Entertainment Lands Distribution Deal
This week, filmmakers Lori Kay Allred and Scott Takeda signed a deal with Shorts.TV to get US television distribution for the short film “If Not Now” – a story about a family dealing with an aging parent and dementia. The film begins its three-year run on Shorts.TV starting Saturday July 23rd.
The team also inked a deal for domestic and international distribution for a second short filmed titled “The Decision“ which they shot last summer in Croatia. It’s about a young woman who much choose between her own wishes and those of her family. That film will begin airing later this year.
“This is big news to get not just one short film picked up but two,” said Allred, head of Wine Dog Pictures. “We put a lot of time into crafting character-based films with stories that are personal to us, so we’re very excited that our films will have the chance to be seen by millions of viewers around the world.
