Takeda Entertainment Produces Narrative Film for Thomson Reuters
This month, we welcome Thomson Reuters to our stable of clients. Our creative team begins work on a narrative short film for them called “Synergy.” Based in Toronto, this information company has several divisions – helping companies with taxes, accounting, legal, government relations, and even news and media. This film will premiere later in the fall.
“I’m very excited about this film,” said producer Scott Takeda. “We just wrapped a large narrative film, and we’ve been wanting to use our film skills for our clients, including 2.35 framing to create a cinematic feel. Our goal on this project is to craft a dramatic story of an everyday person overcoming odds and finding help to reach his goals.”
The agency of record for this project is BI Worldwide out of Minneapolis. BI’s Pat Skelly is executive producer. John Penzien is the screenwriter and creative director. Locally, our team includes Takeda (producer), Lori Kay Allred (director), Brock Sherman (AD and art director), Dave Klein (cinematographer), Rashad Sisemore (camera/grip), Slade Williamson (audio), Thomas Crandall and Rahul Shah (utility grips), Sarah Irwin-Powell (production manager), Ryan Welborn (editor), and Jason McDaniel (post audio). This is a SAG-AFTRA film, so the TEAM Companies out of LA is the SAG-AFTRA signatory. Block Agency and Donna Baldwin Talent provide the union actors.
