Takeda Entertainment continues Long Term documentary for GM

Scene from documentary for General Motors

This week, our crews are getting ready to fly to the Midwest to film another chapter in an on-going corporate documentary for General Motors. Last October, we were initially hired to tell the story of a Woody Buick GMC which is going through a massive culture shift where its sales will be driven by appointments rather than the traditional walk-in traffic. This year, we’re back to follow Woody’s story as it continues.

“This is true documentary filmmaking because we don’t know how the story will turn out,” said director Scott Takeda. “It’s a lot like reality TV. We have great characters, from the owners to the managers and even the customers. But who knows if this will turn out well for Team Woody. It’s incredibly grateful that GM is trusting us with this story.”

Throughout the year, our creative team will be making periodic trips to the dealership to see the progress it is making. Leading that team are the wonderful agency folks from BI Worldwide: Dawn Martin (executive producer), Meggan Pope (executive producer), and Dayna Recchia (production manager). Filling out the rest of the team: Takeda directs, Lori Allred writes and produces, Brock Sherman art directs, Dave Dawson shoots, Tom Abrams does field audio, Ryan Welborn edits, and Zlatko Makic does post audio.
