Takeda Entertainment Produces Quick-Turn Film for Buick
We like being the go-to production team for Buick GMC’s VP of Sales. Once again he visited a dealership and was so impressed he wants us to tell the story of what makes them special. So this week, we are scrambling to Texas to shoot, write, edit, and deliver a quick-turn, documentary film for the Buick Motor Car Division of General Motors. We’ll be telling the win-win-win story that partners dealerships with local schools and charities.
“It’s days like now that I’m glad we have a background in deadline-driven TV,” laughs director Scott Takeda. “It’s a Friday, and we’re scouting our locations while shooting at the same time. Normally I like to do them separately, but there’s no time because we deliver a finshed film six days from now. Regardless, the entire team is focused on story and we have a good game plan.”
The finished film will be shown during Buick training meetings designed around the NCAA Final Four basketball tournament. The creative team for this project includes the agency folks at BI Worldwide out of Minneapolis and Detroit: Dawn Martin (executive producer), Meggan Pope (co-executive producer, Dayna Recchia (associate producer), and Nancy Lockhart (production manager). Rounding out the rest of the team are Colin Paolo (creative director), Takeda (director), Brock Sherman (art director), Lori Allred (writer), Dave Dawson (cinematographer), Steven McCrary (field audio), Brandon Russell (editor), and Kelly Gary (post audio).
