Takeda Entertainment Wins 30th National Telly
Yee-Haw! We are popping the champagne and celebrating three national Telly Awards for films produced for Eli Lilly Pharmaceuticals and Buick GMC.
“I’m most proud because these awards are for three films that couldn’t be more different in style and execution,” said director Scott Takeda. “The first award was for a mini-documentary called ‘Loretta.‘ It’s about a woman living with lung cancer. When we visited her home in Pennsylvania, she was so inspirational that our entire creative team came back wanting to honor her by telling a raw and honest story. I hope we accomplished that. I often think about her and the everyday challenges she faces.
“The second award was for an extended, narrative commercial promoting the efforts of Lilly’s oncology unit. We had a full cast, sound stages, jib arms, high end animations, and two crews working in Florida and Colorado to pull off a motivational story. And we did it all on a budget with a tiny delivery window. What a great team.
“Our third award was for a juiced-up corporate documentary highlighting the new way Buick GMC wants dealers to serve customers. We shot with a commercial crew using muliple cinema cameras and blended some cutting edge art direction to give the story a polished, agency feel.”
The Telly Awards is the leading national TV/Film/Video awards competition. It receives tens of thousands of entries from the nation’s top ad agencies and production houses. These three awards add up to a total of 30 National Telly Awards for Takeda Entertainment.
