TEI Picks Up a World Medal at New York

The New York Festivals just awarded Takeda Entertainment, Inc. the prestigious Silver World Medal which was handed out at their International Television Film Awards banquet at the NAB convention in Las Vegas.

The award is for TEI’s documentary film “Have You Been Tested?” We shot it last fall for the MAC-AIDS Fund on AIDS awareness. TEI was one of five production companies up for top prize in the Social Issues category including agencies in Germany, England, Australia and Russia.

“Once again, I am so grateful to be working with such a talented team and to be recognized by the judges at the New York Festivals,” said director Scott Takeda. “The film was a rewarding and collaborative effort of a lot of people who were working at the top of their talents. While we don’t produce our films to win awards, it’s alway nice when people say we did a good job.”

TEI shares the award with the creative team at BI Worldwide in Minneapolis, MN who partnered with TEI for the creation of this film. Other winners in the 2011 contest include creative teams from Discovery Channel, ESPN, HBO, BBC, Cartoon Network, and agencies such as BBDO-Chicago.

This is TEI’s second Silver World Medal. It has previously won a Gold and Bronze, along with several nominations.
