Cinematic Films For Buick
Our crews are just getting back from two weeks on the road, shooting footage for two corporate films for Buick. They are using the new Canon C-300 cinema camera to give the films a commercial look. Both films will premiere at the upcoming Buick GMC dealer meetings this fall.
“I’m just starting to go through the footage, and so far the images are spectacular,” said director Scott Takeda. “This is now our sixth project with this camera, and I’m sold on it as a powerful tool for telling visual stories. The images are beautiful and look exactly like film, and I love that it gives me the creative option to choose prime lenses for the shots. We’ve been using the 50mm 1.2 for our primary interview lense, occassionally mixing in the 85mm 1.2 when we want even shallower depth of field.”
The creative team for this film is led by the agency folks at BI Worldwide: Dawn Martin (Executive Producer), Meggan Pope (co-executive producer) and Dayna Reccia (production manager). The rest of the team includes Colin Paolo (creative director), Takeda (director/writer), Dave Klein (cinematograher), Ben McCoy (cinematographer), Brian Tiell (cinematographer), Slade Williamson (field audio), Jason Pawlack (field audio), Chris Barbieri (field audio), Brock Sherman (art director), Jamie Wallace (editor), and Zlatko Makic (post audio).
